Susan Robinson began her career as a middle-grades teacher in rural northwest Georgia before moving to the suburbs of Atlanta where she worked as an administrator of a Montessori school. As her family grew, she embarked on a fifteen-year journey of home education. Combined with leadership opportunities in local co-ops and tutorials, this unexpected adventure offered her innovative experience and a deep-seeded love of educational reform. Additionally, she gained an appreciation of classical education, entrepreneurship, communication skills, and character development within the next generation. She considers it the experience of a lifetime and would do it all over again.
For over a decade, Susan has resided on the Emerald Coast and still finds the rare beauty of the area to surpass that of other coastal destinations. While she maintains a strong appreciation for her southern roots (including hospitality, soul food, and front porch swings), she enjoys the vibrant urban-esque happenings found around her beach town. Susan is actively involved in her local church, and she is passionate about social justice issues affecting the Florida panhandle. For fun and relaxation, she explores bike trails, farmers’ markets, and outdoor music and theater productions on the 30A corridor.
Before entering the field in 2013, Susan successfully staged and sold personal properties, which engendered her long-term aspiration of joining her husband, a local mortgage consultant, in the Real Estate industry. Susan is excited to see this goal realized in conjunction with the integrity and expertise found at La Florida Coastal Properties.
